About Us
L&D Carey & Sons Trucking Co was founded in 1976 when Larry Carey bought out his 2 partners and struck out on his own. In 2006, the company was purchased by Dan and Randy Carey, son’s to Larry, keeping it family owned.
The company focused on sand and gravel, working with construction companies primarily in west Michigan but also throughout Michigan for specific projects, as a subcontractor on state work, and as a contractor on county work such as gravel road layering. We have worked on major construction projects on US-131, US-127 (S of St Johns to I-69), and M-6 (expanded capacity to deliver on this project).
In 2016 we added flatbed over-the-road, working throughout the Midwest, completeing our fleet at 13 units.
Services
Sand and Gravel — we work with construction companies, are available as subcontractors for state and local government work.
Flat bed — Midwest, variety of freight, non-hazardous, domestic, no twic cards, not smartway.
